Welcome to the home of the
Jaguar National Rally 2012

Western Australia is proud to be the Host State for 2012. The Jaguar Car Club of Western Australia (Inc) with both the Great Southern Register and the South West Register look forward to welcoming old and new friends to the Rally in April.

This annual event brings together representatives from all eight Jaguar Car Clubs in mainland Australia and Tasmania for three or four days over the Rally weekend. An additional five or six day post rally tour follows for those wanting to drive and extend their time in the host state.

The Rally is structured around the cars we all love and features three important elements:

Friendship and camaraderie built around the common denominator, Jaguar.

The second element is the cars themselves – the preservation of the marque on display at the annual Concours. A competitive theme is included with cars competing in two classes, d’Etat and d’Elegance. There are many trophies on offer covering the seventy years of Jaguar’s production.

The third element is again the car itself, but this time with a driver, doing what Jaguars were built to do and that is ‘run’. The old theme of Grace, Space and Pace is fundamental in the sporting day which is part of the Rally and is another competitive event incorporating team and individual prizes. Team events are state based and are non-speed events thereby allowing the sedate ‘Sunday drivers’ to compete against those familiar with the red haze of speed. The sports cars and racing cars in the Jaguar stable are given an opportunity to compete on an individual basis in speed events which display the prowess of Jaguar on the track over many years.

The 2012 Rally Committee extends a warm welcome to all members, from all states.

Rod Mathers, Rally Director 2012.
